Nilgiris Hills
Nilgiris is India's first biosphere that ranks among the 14 'hotspots' of the world. It is among the oldest mountain ranges in India and a home to three beautiful hill stations - Coonoor, Ooty, and Kotagiri. This beautiful waterfall is situated 35 km to the west of Coimbatore. A dam is also constructed there, named after this waterfall.

To reach Siruvani Waterfalls, you have to pass through a place called Sadivayal Checkpost, where you need to pay a nominal entry fee. Tribals such as Irulars and Mudugars live here.

Kovai Kondattam
Kovai Kondattam is a theme park in Coimbatore located 3 km away from Perur temple. You can reach there through Perur-Siruvani main road. It remains open from 10.30 am to 6.30 pm. You can visit this place with your family where your children can enjoy the numerous water games.

Monkey Falls

Perur Patteeswarar Temple
During the rule of Raja Raja Chola, Patteeswarar Temple or Perur Temple was built. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva (Patteeswarar being the other name for Shiva) and has been patronized by various poets such as Kachiappa Munivar and Arunagiri Nathar.

It is located 7 km to the west of Noyyal River. Inside the temple premises, you can see his consort Parvati (called Pachainayaki) along with him. As per folklore, this deity had emerged at its own and that is why many regard it as 'Swayambu Lingam'. Halls, gopurams and carved pillars adorn the temple. Also, there is a golden statue of Nataraja in one of the halls of Patteeswarar Temple.

By Air

If the tourists desire to reach Chittaurgarh by air, they may do so by stopping at the nearest airport in the city of Udaipur. St. Thomas Mount
Historically speaking, the commencement of Christianity in India is credited to St Thomas. Saint Thomas spread the 'Good Word' among the South Indians. However, some critical circumstances led him to take refuge in the fabled Little Mount. 

Later, while he was on his way to Little Mount, about 3 km away, he was martyred and that place is still remember for him and aptly called St. Thomas Mount. It is located in Parangimalai and happens to be one of the most attractive spots for tourists as well as for religious devotees in Chennai. People on a holy pilgrimage to India include the other churches along with St Thomas Mount on their itinerary. The oil paintings found here are also worth a look, especially the one that St. Thomas brought with him and was drawn by his fellow apostle Luke. The church was reconstructed in the 16th century.  

MGM Dizzee World
The MGM Dizzee world is strategically located on the East Coast Road. Opened from 10 am to 6:30 pm, it is bustling with people throughout the week. With 35 acre area coverage that comes with a beach, a resort, amusement park, truly makes for a great trip. It is a children-friendly amusement park with an entire section dedicated to kids.

The rides include Giant Wheel, Parachute Tower, Kamikaze Ranger, Roller coaster, Rocking Boat, among others. Revolution and Venture rides are hot favourites among teens. Ayyappan temple
The Ayyappan temple in Anna Nagar was constructed when a group of people living together decided to build a temple to worship the God they were devoted to.

Marina beach

Mahabodhi temple

In the 3rd century, the great Mauryan ruler King Ashoka built a small shrine at the spot where Buddha had got enlightenment. Subsequent rulers left their mark on this shrine, which finally took the shape of the famous Mahabodhi temple.

This magnificent temple stands to the east to the Bodhi Tree. The architecture of the temple is symbolic as it is designed to proclaim to the world the pious efforts of the Buddha to solve human misery and to attain transcendental peace through wisdom, good conduct and disciplined life.
